Hi there, thank you for coming to my blog and your interest in my first blog post! Today, I would like to share with you 5 of my favourites cookbooks I've had the chance to read through and get some great inspirations from. Enjoy!
1. Eleven Madison Park: The Cookbook
Eleven Madison Park is one of New York City's most popular fine-dining establishments, and one of only a handful to receive four stars from the New York Times. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Daniel Humm and General Manager Will Guidara since 2006, the restaurant has soared to new heights and has become one of the premier dining destinations in the world.
ELEVEN MADISON PARK: THE COOKBOOK is a sumptuous tribute to the unforgettable experience of dining in the restaurant, where the latest culinary techniques are married with classical French cuisine. The book features more than 125 sophisticated recipes, arranged by season ELEVEN MADISON PARK: THE COOKBOOK is a sumptuous tribute to the unforgettable experience of dining in the restaurant, where the latest culinary techniques are married with classical French cuisine. The book features more than 125 sophisticated recipes, arranged by seasons.
What I liked the most:
Every recipe in this book is done with unreal precision and it is really hard to choose one part as the whole book is insanely beautiful and inspiring. This is not a practical cookbook for the home cooks as the recipes are just a little bit intricate but it's a very cool read about the history of an amazing restaurant. My favourite recipe from the book has to be the Honey Glazed Duck with Levander and Spices.

2. Out of My Tree Midsummer House by Daniel Clifford
Daniel Clifford is one of the UK's most celebrated chefs. With two Michelin stars to his name for his riverside restaurant in Cambridge, Midsummer House, he is a regular on TV shows such as Great British Menu (which he won in 2012 and 2013) and Saturday Kitchen as well as presenting the Irish version of Masterchef in 2017. Out of My Tree is his first book and tells the story of how Daniel went from being a dyslexic child from a broken home to one of the best chefs in the country. It is a part brutally honest autobiography and part cookbook, featuring over 140 recipes right from the early days of Midsummer in the late 90s through garnering two Michelin stars and the success of the tasting menu to the very latest recipes the restaurant is serving today as it relaunches as an a la carte restaurant once again. The recipes run chronologically alongside the story and reveal how his style has developed and become more refined over the years. At 384 pages, this is a book to do justice to someone who makes two-Michelin starred cooking the standard.
What I liked the most:
Midsummer House was my first ever experience eating at a 2 Michelin star restaurant and it just blew me away how delicious food and great service they have! It had a big impact on my today's cooking as I knew that this is the way I definitely want to go and it just opens my eyes what you can achieve if you have a passion and determination! Beautifully written book with fabulous recipes and great pictures. You should try to make the Cannelloni of Gingerbread, Kirsch Mousse and Cinnamon Ice Cream, Delicious!

3. South: Essential Recipes and New Explorations
Southern food is one of the most beloved and delicious cuisines in America. And who better to give us the key elements of Southern cuisine than Sean Brock, the award-winning chef and Southern-food crusader. In South, Brock shares his recipes for key components of the cuisine, from grits and fried chicken to collard greens and cornbread. Recipes can be mixed and matched to make a meal or eaten on their own. Taken together, they make up the essential elements of Southern cuisine, from fried green tomatoes to smoked baby back ribs and from tomato okra stew to biscuits. Regional differences are highlighted in recipes for shrimp and grits, cornbread, fried chicken, and more. Includes key Southern knowledge too: how to fry, how to care for cast iron, how to cook over a hearth, and more. This is the book fans of Sean Brock have been waiting for, and it’s the book Southern-food lovers the world over will use as their bible.
What I liked the most:
Just love the simplicity he is putting out to his dishes and combination of the flavours are just married so well together. Nice and simple book to cook from and you can find lots of great inspiration there! One of my favourites is Shrimp and Grits with Roasted Tomatoes, Fennel and Sausages!

4.Pollen Street: By Jason Atherton
This stunning book showcases the very best recipes from the acclaimed Pollen Street Social, Jason Atherton's award-winning London restaurant.
The dishes featured range from canapés and afternoon tea to recipes such as Fruits of the Sea, Cartmel Valley Venison Loin and Pistachio Soufflé, each of which is beautifully photographed by John Carey.
Having worked under Pierre Koffmann, Nico Ladenis and Marco Pierre White, Jason Atherton ran Verre and Maze for Gordon Ramsay before opening his own incredible fine-dining empire. Not only a world-class culinary alchemist, he is also featured in TV series, such as Great British Menu and My Kitchen Rules, and most recently as the host of BBC's The Chefs' Brigade.
What I liked the most:
This book is full of modern, fresh and seasonal recipes with great looking pictures. It's a must of every professional chef to have it in their own collection of cookbooks. Simplicity and best produce is the key here and you can see it on every dish. This is again not a recipe book for the average home cook as there is required special equipment for some of the recipes.
